Last Day in Antarctica Not last day on the ship though. From 10 full days on the ship we will in the end have spent 5 in the Drake Passage, flipping around. Antarctica is far away and you have to make efforts, and from my point of view it can stay like this always. Wir wollten Synchronschwimmen machen. Ich denke das Argument, dass das wohl das letzte Abenteuer sein wird, dass wir drei zusammen erleben, hat überzeugt. Die erste Anlandung, morgens Yankee Harbour, wurde gleich gecancelt, zu schlechte Anlandebedingungen. Weiter gings zu unserem Stop für den Nachmittag, Half Moon Island. Dort ähnlich, keine Anlandung möglich. Abgesehen davon sah es einfach super toll aus draussen. Meine Seekrankheit ist wie weggeblasen, die 50 Knoten, 23m/sek Windgeschwindigkeit, 7m Wellen, 9bft Windstärke machen mir . . . → Read On: Deception Island So, jetzt habe ich endlich einen Computer gefunden, einen eigenen Platz, er hat auch ein Diskettenlaufwerk, so kann ich nun endlich wieder per Computer schreiben, in der Hoffnung, mehr aufzuschreiben. „Fehlender Teil – wurde per Hand geschrieben – und muss noch nachgetippt werde.“ > Tja, und das ist die erste Woche meines Lebens in der Antarktis, die hier nun noch fehlt…Und ich hoffe, das Tagebuch ist noch vorhanden! Über die Arien Sitzplatzreservierung und Übergepäck fang ich hier jetzte nicht an zu schreiben. Und alle Überlegungen zum richtigen Check-In-Zeitpunkt für einen Fensterplatz kamen zu keinem Erfolg: Mittelplatz auf der Langstrecke. 13.45 Stunden! Der arme Mann am Check-In musste mich ertragen.
