Soller
I haven´t been here in decades. As a side excursion we went over the mountain range (MANY curves!!! – back through the tunnel within little minutes!), enjoying the views. Many bikers came downhill that day.
What a beautiful and quiet village down where (you have to drive up and over the mountain range, and all the way back down again). A bit further is the ocean and Puerto Soller, the port of Soller, connected with a nice old streetcar. Which I got nearly driven over by in 1995, when I stopped the car right on the tracks for some reason.
Corinna, Anja and I had some tapas at the main square, watched tourists ( little still) and locals, and then strolled through some old beautiful streets. The mountain range behind the village is stunning.
And I went mad for the lemon trees. So much that I tried to find an expression for it, but “I want to live where I have my own lemon tree”, but that´s not really true. Nevertheless, I find it most luxurious as for quality of life, to have a lemon tree in the garden, to live in such nice climate.
We saw an old couple on their Sunday afternoon stroll, he carrying her handbag. So cute they looked.
