Spargelzeit

It is asparagus time in Germany, white asparagus!

I believe noone is as mad about it as us, especially in the North of the country.

For about a month, I can eat it every day, and so do my parents. And I am even not varying the recipe.

Alster. Rudern. Segeln. Sommer

What a beautiful evening along the Alster Lake (it is actually a river), Binnenalster :).

Plus 20°C after 7pm, strolling along the waterfront, parking available, too many joggers, but such a beautiful scenery and light. Busy on the lake, with little wind for sailors and surprisingly many rowing boats.

Chemnitz - day 1

After some good 6 hours driving through rainy Germany, the weather forecast was obsolete, as instead of heavy thunderstorms I was awaited by the most pleasant weather in Chemnitz. The day ended with a wonderful red sunset and some 20°C still at night.

Day 7 - Coming Home by Ship

As mentioned before, sailing in and out of Hamburg is a very special moment (hour) for me being from Hamburg – and for visitors of course.

Day 3 - Hafengeburtstag in Hamburg

Sailing into Hamburg or out is always spectacular.

But doing so during the 825. Hafengeburtstag was very special.

Even more, if you are from Hamburg, like me.

We were the last ship of the parade (Auslaufparade) on Sunday.
