This time I covere quite a distance by tube and partially by bus (as a tour), from the West to the East, but also South of the river. I went to see great places and everything worked fantastically. On Portobello market, which is huuuge, and I walked it all, I found a few interetsting stands with handicraft and wonderful other antique things. I bought a fantastic silver magnifier to use as reading glasses (was looking for that for long), over 100 years old (photo later). We got such an amazing weather at sea these days, really lovely. Weather was perfect, and we drove by many sites I had seen during my 4-day visit in 2006. It was lovely to see it all again, good memories :). Arrived in the capital of Finland this morning.Against all (bad, rainy, windy) weather forecast we are enjoying a beautiful summer day in Helsinki. Now off for a sightseeing tour by bus, after a leisurely walk along the waterfront, including tasting local food: Reindeer, chocolate w licorice, piroggen. So many little islands, so many colourful cute houses. Some are permanent residencies, others are the weekend house. Lots of swimming and boating. It was emotional to see so much memory, know all songs and lyrics, remember old times. And see the success of those 10 years, from back then when I was very young.
