Life at sea

Off for a short trip to England.

I like to fly #germanwings – I still do get my tomato juice there 🙂 (if my client books the „smart“ option).

Food and luggage allowance please, when I job-travel! I might opt differently when I go adventure travelling privately.
But for business I require a certain standard, as work is fun but exhausting always in my business.

Quite some nice and useful vouchers in there for me! I am pleasantly surprised .QE15-6-02
#germanwings – and even #gummibärchen 🙂 – happy guest, incl. #stulle

Funny luggage cart upon arrival at #lhr #t5 (some b-day present for the Queen, I didn´t really stop to read).
It feels very good to know your way in an airport. Can´t believe I am becoming used to London that way, love it.
There will be a few more of these visits this year, and I hope to feel a bit home here by the end of the year, and find my way around easily in the future.
Since my first real time in London was only in 2012, in my late 40s.

The shuttle which always takes me FROM the airport.
This time I was a bit unlucky. From what, 10 bus lines, mine was the last one to come. Which made the short in distance transfer between leaving the plane and checking in a 1,5hr trip. But well, I had no other plans that night, all relaxed and fine, and I met my new nice colleague.

So far, I was used to a huge troop of colleagues arriving together with me, some bus load filled with us seamen.
This time it was different, the hotel lobby was immensely packed with people – but no hospi desk to welcome us, no other sailors around. Thus no group dinner but á la carte. This is a really nice restaurant at #premierinn #bathroad! The service staff is so polite and attentive, really pleasant.

Up at 5.30am the next morning I surely did NOT feel fresh as a daisy.
But I had a good laugh here :)!

No coach transfer but a chauffeured car – how nice, thanks Steve.
But it feels weeeeird to sit in the drivers seat and not have a steering wheel where it belongs to, LOL.

Nice surprise when coming aboard…

But then:

Triple! Well, hooray then, ladies 🙂

Outside we mingled with the guests who had a great sailaway time

And this is how it really was ;).

Not that this is normal. But it was okay.

Hamburg baby! My hometown. It was a hot day (after and before many rainy cold days) and surely a lovely sailaway.
On a Friday night and with warm temperatures, many people waved us goodbye.
Always so very touching!!! I love where I live :)!!!

And this was beautiful too! Early morning sailing into Southampton. It felt warm.

Waiting for the „finger“ to dock.
