Jinshanling, Simatai

I just came across my photo albums of China. From which I will hopefully put some up in the future, but the choice is of some 6.000 pics, if I well remember.

So now I wanted to only link you to my facebook group for the one special hike one can do between Jinshanling and Simatai (or vv).

I went in summer 2008 and will never forget it! Hot, steep, wide, peaceful, quiet, amazing, different, strenuous, beautiful, crazy… can´t find enough words for that very special experience.

I had hired a driver and just went by myself in order to enjoy that special experience in life at my own pace. Which was a good idea. The driver drove like crazy (!), and on the wall I met many other people. But could stop whenever and for as long as I wanted.

PS I have also been in the beautiful village of Mutianyu and on the Badaling part of the Great Wall, close to Beijing. That slide down was fun! And I´d love to spend a few days in The Schoolhouse. We worked with them on our guest program. It is a really great project and place!!!
